As we reflect on 2023’s Moomba Festival, we are beyond proud of the results Kate & Co. PR achieved across the entirety of the campaign. Engaged by City of Melbourne to oversee tactical media relations, including pre-publicity, Kate & Co. PR secured 332 media hits across TV, radio, online and print, with a reach of over 32.6M. Coverage highlights included TODAY Show weather crosses on both Friday and Saturday morning and 3 front page pic stories with both Herald Sun and The Age.
Running across the Labour Day Long Weekend in March, Kate & Co. PR were also responsible for developing a robust influencer relations strategy, which saw agency friends Jacqui Felgate and Jarrad Duggan-Tierney (of Real Dads of Melbourne) attend the festival with their young families. This resulted in 243 social hits, with a reach of over 27.3M across socials.
From the Birdman Rally to the iconic Moomba Parade, the Kate & Co. PR team had a ball darting between the banks of the Yarra under the long weekend sunshine, managing pic ops, overseeing outdoor broadcasts and facilitating radio interviews from afar.
The success of this event isn’t possible without the ongoing support of our media and industry friends, Moomba Festival major partners, as well as the incredible team at the City of Melbourne including Tanya Tribuzio and Olivia Turnbull.
We will dream of Dagwood Dogs until March of 2024 when the Moomba Festival returns… for its 70th year!
