And that is officially a wrap on Melbourne Racing Club’s Spring Racing calendar!
As the year draws to a close, we are so proud to reflect on the 2023 Caulfield Cup Carnival, and the campaign we brought to life alongside Melbourne Racing Club.
With a vision to be the most progressive Racing Club in the world, we worked alongside MRC to deliver a robust, multifaceted communications campaign, focussed around The Club’s Carnival thematic, ‘It’s Time to Re-Wild.’ Using media-worthy talent and out of the box creative ideas, we achieved an editorial reach of over 41.1M, with coverage highlights including a front page run and multiple stories in Herald Sun and The Age, radio interviews on 3AW, Gold FM, SEN and more, plus over 1K television clips on TODAY Show, Sunrise, and sports, weather and news stories on Channel 7, Channel 9 and Network 10.
A highlight of the campaign was working with Richmond Tigers Jack Riewoldt, Tom Lynch, Nathan Broad, Jayden Short, Jack Graham and Liam Baker, who are all part owners of Caulfield Cup Contender Soulcombe, trained by Chris Waller. We worked with the Punt Rd End syndicate, or the ‘Soulcombe 6’ as they will forever be known to us, on a multi-page feature in V Weekend, where they spoke all about their hopes for Caulfield.
