On Wednesday 12th February, Coles supermarkets announced a brand new three-year partnership with the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation, giving thousands of children across Australia access to an educational program that will help them develop a healthy relationship with food, self-confidence and life skills.
Media and influencers and their kids were invited to ‘Pick, Cook and Eat’, taking them on a journey from garden to plate alongside renowned chef Stephanie Alexander, and Coles Ambassador Curtis Stone. Guests were taught the art of harvesting fresh food from the abundant gardens at Collingwood College (where the Foundation started 18 years ago), then shown how to prepare a meal using the ingredients, before sitting down to enjoy and share the dishes they created.
The announcement of the new partnership also launched the Coles Fresh 5 Challenge, a brand-new national healthy eating program aimed at educating Aussie kids on eating a more nutritious and balanced diet.
Kate & Co.’s scope of work included media relations, contra influencer engagement and guest list management.
Coverage included articles on 9Honey, Practical Parenting, thatssopretty.com.au, and Melbourne With Kidz, plus over 200 organic social media posts.
